SMS Opt-In

You will receive SMS messages from The Treehouse Homeowners Association, Inc. only after you have opted in to receive them.

SMS opt-in consent is provided verbally. You may opt in either:

• verbally in person to a representative of The Treehouse Homeowners Association, Inc.; or
• verbally during a telephone conversation with a representative of The Treehouse Homeowners Association, Inc.

During the verbal opt-in process, you will provide or confirm the mobile phone number at which you wish to receive SMS messages and affirmatively agree to receive text messages from the Association.

By opting in, you consent to receive recurring, non-marketing, Association-related SMS messages from The Treehouse Homeowners Association, Inc. at the mobile phone number you provide.

Consent to receive SMS messages is voluntary and is not a condition of any purchase, payment, or other transaction with the Association.

Privacy Policy for Messaging

At The Treehouse Homeowners Association, Inc. (the “Association,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), we respect your privacy. By opting into our SMS messaging service, you agree to the following terms regarding how we handle your data.

Data Collection

We collect or maintain your name, email address, mobile phone number, and SMS messaging preferences when you opt in to receive SMS communications from the Association.

SMS opt-in information is collected through the verbal opt-in process described in the SMS Opt-In section above.

Data Usage

We use your data solely for informational, non-marketing Association-related communications.

These communications may include maintenance and repair coordination, scheduling, property access, Association administration, notices, service-provider coordination, and responses to Association-related inquiries.

The Association does not use SMS messaging for advertising, sales, or promotional marketing.

Data Sharing

Customer data is not shared with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes.

Mobile opt-in information and consent are never shared with anyone for any purpose, except as required by law as described below.

Any information sharing that may be mentioned elsewhere in this policy excludes mobile opt-in data and consent.

Exception to Data Sharing

The only circumstances under which your information may be shared are when disclosure is required by law, such as in compliance with a legal order, regulation, or other legal requirement.

Data Security

We protect your data using reasonable storage and access-control measures designed to prevent unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.

Data Retention

We retain your SMS subscription and contact information for as long as you are subscribed to our SMS messaging service and as reasonably necessary to document consent and messaging preferences.

You may request deletion from our active SMS messaging records at any time. Certain Association records may be retained where required by law or legitimate Association recordkeeping obligations.

SMS Terms & Conditions

By opting in as described in the SMS Opt-In section above, you agree to these SMS Terms & Conditions.

The Association uses SMS for informational and operational communications with homeowners, residents, vendors, and service providers who have opted in to receive messages.

Messages may include maintenance and repair coordination, scheduling, property-access arrangements, Association administration, notices, service-provider coordination, and general two-way communication regarding Association matters.

The Association does not use this SMS messaging service for advertising, sales, or promotional marketing.

Message Frequency and Data Rates

Message and Data Rates may apply. Your mobile carrier may charge fees for sending or receiving text messages, especially if you do not have an unlimited texting or data plan.

Messages are recurring and message frequency varies based on Association and communication needs.

Opt-Out

You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP or CANCEL to any SMS message from the Association.

You may also request to stop receiving SMS messages by emailing contact@treehousehoa.org or contacting the Association at (323) 906-7227.

After unsubscribing, you will receive a final SMS confirming that you have unsubscribed, and we will remove your number from our active SMS messaging list within 24 hours. No further SMS messages will be sent unless you later opt in again.
